The NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision is the state agency responsible for 44 correctional facilities throughout New York. Each facility operates as a small city of sorts, which requires staff of all disciplines including: Physicians, Nurses, Physician Assistants, Dentists, Pharmacists, Nurse Practitioners, Counselors, Librarians, Mental Health Professionals, Teachers, Skilled Tradespersons, Administrative Staff, Food Service, Clerical, Librarians, Maintenance, Automotive Technicians, and of course a large amount of Security Staff. We operate as a paramilitary organization and maintain a high level of integrity. 

The health, safety, and security of our facilities, our staff, and the incarcerated individuals in our custody is our primary concern.
